Conference output
In November 2020, the book was presented during a two-days conference which was organised with the support from BAFU, INFORMAR, EFI, Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Canton of Basel and WSL.
On the first day, case study presentations were held by representatives of 15 forest enterprises to receive a first glimpse of the different case studies presented in the book.
On the second day, keynote presentations were one substantial part and are available online:
- European beech in timber construction - Jan Hassan (Pollmeier Massivholz GmbH & Co.)
- Climate change, disturbances and forest management - Jörg Müller (University of Würzburg)
- Forests and Biodiversity - Martin Gossner (Swiss Federal Research Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape WSL)
A panel discussion moderated by Swiss Television moderator Mona Vetsch rounded up the conference with informative discussions (German, English).
