C16 Kocanda hero — The transformation process has its own silvicultural technique that is implemented through specific interventions within particular part of a forest stand space and has its specific schedule, as well. A typical element is the so-called ‘foundation of the regeneration felling system’ represented by a strip shelterwood cut where areas for underplanting by absent tree species are combined with areas prepared for natural regeneration of Norway spruce (growing under the more closed overstorey canopy shelter to control its growth and vigour).
